November 22, 2011 - Beckwith Farm

Beckwith Farm is pleased that no propane cannon use has been required so far 2011, and in fact, the cannons have not even been connected to thier propane source.   The use of hand held audible devices have also been greatly limited 2011, and have only been used when there is bird pressure beyond the limitations of other deterrents in use.

The reduced bird pressure in 2011 is primarily credited to the farm's two newest residents, Blue and Berry, our two farm dogs who are bred and trained specifically for bird predation.  

The farm operation is in the process of winding down for the winter months, and planning has started  for 2012 .... the first year the blueberry plants will produce fruit!
